The Ray Donovan from Pierre-Pierre
Apricot Ricotta Cupcake from Sara Sara
Let me start off by saying that if you have not visited Sara Sara Cupcakes / Pierre-Pierre Crepery, you should be ashamed of yourself. Seriously. No worries as there is room for redemption.
Sara Sara Cupcakes and Pierre-Pierre Crepery are in the same exact building. And you order from both menus at the counter. I had the excellent pleasure of sampling one of Sara Sara Cupcake’s sweet treats before, but until I visited this bright and sunny establishment, I had no idea that Pierre-Pierre Crepery existed!! They are located at 7 NW 9th St in OKC, just west of the railroad tracks.
During the week, Pierre-Pierre Crepery has a lunch crepe special where you can get a savory crepe, salad or homemade soup, and a beverage for $9. If you have a Keep It Local card, you can get a discount as well! This particular time I visited, I ordered the Ray Donovan crepe, which is a savory crepe filled with mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh, yummy basil, and a heavenly balsamic reduction drizzled on top. I am a sucker for anything that has a Balsamic Reduction. I also ordered the Roasted Red Pepper soup. The soup is hearty and zesty and served with a dollop of sour cream. I didn’t think I was going to be a fan until the chef let me take a sample. It was love at first sip.
Until eating here, I had never tried a crepe. If you don’t know what a crepe is, it’s heaven in your mouth. It’s like a thin pancake and is usually filled with something sweet or savory. So I had this light and airy crepe, that was stuffed with all that yummy goodness and drizzled with a balsamic reduction that made my tongue dance. I couldn’t put my fork down.
For desert: Apricot Ricotta cupcake from Sara Sara. 2 words: Mouthgasmic & Perfect. From the moment my fork eased gently into the edge of this understated beauty, I knew it was going to be an experience like no other. Rich ricotta perfectly balanced the sinfully sweet apricot and cream cheese. The only thing that could have made this experience complete is if I had ordered some coffee to go with it.
The only reason this place got a 4 out of 5 lip smacks is because I wish I had a little more tomato and balsamic in my crepe. And I wish the portion size for the soup was a little more. What can I say? I am a glutton when I go there.

I expect every one of you to get over there and experience the awesomeness in that building, and let me know what you think!
