I don't know about you, but I love a feel-good movie that isn't cheesey.  I especially love movies that are motivating, inspirational, and have food in them.  This movie covers all those bases.

I had never heard of this movie before, and I am surprised as it has a lot of big names in it.  Dustin Hoffman, Robert Downey  Jr., John Leguizamo, Scarlett Johansson, and the main character / director / Writer,  Jon Favreau.  I came across it as one of my Facebook friends had posted about it.  I am a sucker for movies that I have never heard of...usually they are the best.

The plot of this story, without giving anything away, is about a chef who loses his job in L.A. and decides to take a chance on starting his own food truck. While he is on this journey, he gets the pleasure of bonding with his son and reignites his passion for cooking.

If you love food, this movie is for you.  If you like to cook, this movie is for you.  If you like inspirational movies that are not sappy with romance and gushing with cheesiness, this movie is for you.  It has some awesome Latin music that will make you want to jump out of your seat and dance. It has some adult language and humor, like lots of F-bombs, but then again that's why the movie is rated R.  I found myself ravenous-hungry after, and was disappointed that I didn't have the ingredients in the fridge to prep anything that looked slightly like food that was prepped in the movie.  And I still have a mad-craving for Cuban sandwiches.  Thank you Chef, thank you.

This movie is about friendship, finding yourself, diving headfirst into your passions, finding purpose in your life, and realizing that family and friends are our biggest treasures.
